Top six winger would be the impact we need, but I like Archie too. |

Torts may be the coach he needs to put a sparkplug up his ass. When the kid wants to play he is Kassian like, but he gets those urges too far apart. |

Just so everyone knows, resident favorite Travis Yost has been attacked across all media platforms of the web by Euge Melnyk and associates, you can't comment on his blogs without someone removing comments, now they're locked, and his twitter and every blog he ever wrote dating back to May 2010 was deleted from hockeybuzz in an attack.
This, shortly following a set of weird phishing attempts trying to get his IP address.
Point being, the idiotic old man has paid some ukranians he works with in a charity to attempt to wipe anything Yost has to say about his shady practices and his leveraging of the Sens to support his failing businesses from the internet.

I'll be posting this in every thread so as many people are aware as possible. |

Would be interesting to see Archibald play during camp. In an ideal world we'd have Santorelli, Hansen, Higgins, Archibald, Richardson, Weise, Sestito, Kassian, Schroder, Gaunce, Jensen, Lain, Hamill, Ferriero and Sweat competing for our bottom 6 roles. You could make 2 really good bottom 6 lines out of those pieces and have 1-2 guys waiting in the wings in case of struggles/injuries.
Problem is is that 1-2 of those guys (I guess Booth is already pencilled into the top 6...) are going to have to play in the top 6. Too many question marks surrounding the forwards on this team again for my liking. |

I personally am a fan of playing guys like Archie on the fourth line. When Steve Bernier's career seemed to be over I was praying for the Oilers to sign him for a similar role, as we know he signed in Jersey and flourished. |

I swear I live with a rocket scientist.
G/F makes a coffee and complains about the colour of the coffee being too light. I opened the lid to the Keurig coffee maker and she didn't put any coffee in it. |

I just don't see a 6'3 Archie that seldom fights taking the spot from Setito @ 6'5 and fights. I think Archie is an emergency call up. He won't beat Higgins or Jensen out of a 3 rd line role. |

I think Ian should be thankful . After a couple of his blogs I am surprised Aquillini hasn't made Ian disappear. |

There's really only one roster spot of for grabs. I guess Schroeder could always be sent down (has he played enough games to need waivers yet?), but pretty much everyone else is a lock to make the starting day roster. Tortarella said he wants some of these kids to come in and take jobs away...then what? Trade Booth or Higgins or Burrows.
I just don't see that there will be any changes to what the lineup looks like already. |

I don't think Ian has anything to worry about, his blogs aren't exactly investigative journalism. To be fair though, I also don't think that someone smart enough to hack into HB and delete all of Yost's blogs would do it from their "home". It would be like making a crank call while everyone else has call display. |

It is not a bad thing if we find one of our young players that play better than Booth Higgins or Burrows. It more than likely won't happen but lets hope it does. |

Schroeder does require waivers. But there is some uncertainty as to whether he'll be totally healthy to start the year, so he could possibly be sent down for a conditioning stint, or start the year on the Comets and be called up as an injury replacement, which would make him waiver exempt in both cases, if I'm not mistaken.
I could see a young guy win a 4th line spot from Weise or Sestito, depending on how well they play in camp, but you're right, it is unlikely.
My bet would be either on Archie or Blomstrand.
I could also see some players winning a spot with good play as an injury call up. |

I agree, but the whole Gillis "reset" and Tortarella calling for the team to get younger sounds like a bunch of lip service. The coaching change will have an impact, sure, but its the players on the ice who actually play the game and for the most part, nothing has changed, or is likely to this season. |

The reset seems to be as effective as when they went "all in" at the trade deadline. |

If Gillis was also successful in picking up Torres and Clowe, like rumours suggest, I'd call that going "all in". |

Yeah . When I seen Weise and Sestito re-signed I knew Gillis had a case of Verbal Diarrhea. |
